Against all odds: The uphill battle of John Gilligan [motion picture]. 1968

A 1968 documentary produced by Charles Guggenheim for John L. Gilligan's unsuccessful Senate campaign. Senator Edward Kennedy introduces the film. Gilligan is seen shaking hands with laborers, speaking to teachers and students, smoking, traveling across Ohio and speaking of the fire hazards of the Cuyahoga River. This river caught fire a year later in 1969.
